Dear Michele,

Israel is at war!

Today's headlines in the Jerusalem Post:

"Iran launches hundreds of rockets into Israel in a massive aerial attack!"

"IDF Vows to strike across the Middle East tonight."

The eyes of the world are on Israel.

God has done this.

"This is the burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. Thus declares the LORD, who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth, who forms the spirit of man within him: “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples. Judah will be besieged, as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth gather against her, I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who would heave it away will be severely injured.…( Jer. 12:1-3).

God is in charge of the nations.

God is awakening His church - and there is work to be done!

"On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD shall take no rest for yourselves, nor give Him any rest until He establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth," (Is. 62:6-7).

God will make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

And... He requires His bride to cooperate with Him in fulfilling this magnificent promise.

We are called by God to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

THE FEASTS OF THE LORD - God's Prophetic Calendar

God appointed seven holy convocations, known as the Feasts of the Lord, to the sons of Israel (Lev. 23). These feasts ultimately point the way to their Messiah.

Our Lord Jesus - the Messiah of Israel - is the fulfillment of these feasts.

Jesus fulfilled the first four feasts at His first coming:

SPRING FEASTS:

  1. Passover: Jesus died on Passover as the sacrificial Lamb of God.

  2. The Feast of Unleavened Bread: Jesus was buried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

  3. The Feast of First fruits: Jesus rose from the dead on First fruits.

  4. Shavout - the Feast of Weeks: Known as Pentecost when God poured out the Holy Spirit and birthed the church.

FALL FEASTS - WILL BE FULFILLED AT MESSIAH'S 2ND COMING

  • The Feast of Trumpets - Rosh HaShannah. Jesus will descend from heaven with a shout, at the Last Trump, and the dead in Christ will rise (1Cor. 15:51-52 (1Thes. 4:16-17) (Mt. 24:30-31).

  • Yom Kippur: Jesus will pour out His wrath on the wicked - during the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord. (Zeph. 1:14-18).

  • Feast of Tabernacles (Booths): Jesus - Emmanuel - will live and dwell among us on His throne in Jerusalem (Rev.21:3-4) (Zech. 2:10-13) (Zech. 14:16).

Rosh Hashanah - The Feast of Trumpets - officially commences Weds. October 2nd, at sunset.

One day - during the Feast of Trumpets - Yeshua HaMashiach, the Messiah of Israel, will return to Jerusalem as triumphant King of Kings and Lord of Lord's.

Gentile believers, typical Christians, divorced from the Jewish roots of our faith, are completely oblivious to the significance of the Feasts of the Lord.

Therefore, multitudes of Christians are anxiously waiting to disappear any moment in the rapture.

This is not happening.

One of the reasons I say this with confidence - is because the leaders of Israel, the religious community, and the government of Israel must FIRST repent and accept Jesus as their Messiah.

National repentance by Israel is a prerequisite to the Messiah's return. Their repentance is one of the chief purposes of the Day of the Lord.

"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings and you were unwilling.

"Behold, your house (nation) is being left to you desolate! For I say to you, from now on you shall not see me until you say, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord,"

(Mt. 23:37-39).

Jesus will reconcile with His Jewish brothers and sisters. He longs for the day they repent, return to Him and accept Him as their Messiah.

The victorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ is connected to the Jewish people and their acceptance of Him as their Messiah.

"And it will come about in that day that I will set about to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication, so they will look on Me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one mourns for for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him, like the bitter weeping over a first-born," (Zech. 12:9-10).

God tells us that ALL ISRAEL will by saved!

"For if their rejection be the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead!" (Rom. 11:15).

"For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery, lest you be wise in your own estimation, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the gentiles has come in; And thus all Israel will be saved,' (Rom. 11:25).

THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS

The sound of the shofar during the Feast of Trumpets call the people to the season of Teshuva - Return and Repent.

What is the significance of the Feast of Trumpets in our own lives?

It is a solemn reminder that the Day of the Lord will come.

The trumpets call us to remember the Lord. Return to Him with our whole hearts.

It is a call to holy devotion. A time to return and renew our first love with our Messiah.

Trumpets call the people to war.

As the Bride of the Lamb, united with His heart, it is a time to station ourselves on the wall as watchmen and pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

I encourage you my friend, keep your eyes focused on Jesus - and watch and pray about what He is calling you to in this day.

Don't be watching for what evil is doing - but with eyes of devoted bridal love - keep your eyes focused on Jesus. He is busy in this day, calling us higher - into Him - to participate with Him in the restoration of all things.

Remember, Michele, in Jesus we have the victory over the devil, sin, the world and the grave!

Love,

Michele
